Matt Garman never stops seeking adventure and opportunity. And with raw energy, natural enthusiasm and a strategic mind, he finds it – and if he doesn’t find it – he creates it. Matt successfully built and exited two IT businesses and has since cultivated a network of influential Director/Senior Management contacts from all over the UK. As founder of Sales Plus Profit, he turns his passion and experience towards helping businesses achieve their real potential.

Entirely self-made, Matt’s first role in the sales arena was that of a commission-only trainee at Sussex based IT reseller MB Computer Services. After establishing himself, he saw the promise, remortgaged his house and bought the business. The company thrived as the rebranded ApexIS. And under Matt’s leadership, profitability and margins increased significantly.

Never one for the status quo, Matt moved on to new adventures. He merged the ApexIS Financial Software division with Surrey based David Howard Consulting. History repeated itself. Matt directly managed high-profile deals, refocused the sales and marketing teams and directed marketing initiatives. After doubling the business in size, he, together with his co-directors successfully negotiated its acquisition and exited.

In 2012, former clients sought Matt out for help with their growth plans. Again, seeing an opportunity, he founded Sales Plus Profit. He and his expert team of Associate Sales Directors provide owner-managed businesses with the agile, part-time sales solutions they need to drive results.

With his trademark passion, expertise, and roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic, Matt enables owner-led businesses find, and leverage, their own adventures and opportunities.

When he’s not working… Matt enjoys spending time with his family, and loves travelling to new places. He stays in shape for the rigours of raising his two children with running, swimming, indoor rowing and cycling. He’s finished a number of Ironman endurance events. Matt brings the same boundless energy and commitment to his free time as he does to his work, and is an Associate Member of The Professional Speaking Association.
